PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE 8th December 2008

Hello Fellow Swappers & Friends
The ideas & strategies for personal & business growth continue to flow at our Friday breakfast meetings, and last Friday was no exception!  The meeting was exceptionally well attended with 22 Business Swap members, and 2 guests. We were privileged to have Christine Parker, National Swap President and Robbie Seymour visiting from Grafton also.
Tony Foote was our 10 Minute Spotter, giving us an update on technology with wireless broadband. The interest in Tony’s subject was so great that he will be conducting a round table for members at The Professional Centre on Friday 12th December at 9:00am.  The early-bird Swap Convention Prize was drawn by Christine Parker and Congratulations to the winner – Les Boulle – how wonderful to see one of our own members win this fantastic prize. Well done Les!
Marilyn Brien from Leadership Management Australia, www.leadershipmanagement.com.au was our Professional Education Group presenter.  In her workshop, “How to gain a Fast Start in 2009”, Marilyn assisted members to reflect on the year and understand ourselves and the role we played in our successes/failures during the year and look to 2009. We all took away notes and goals to action and are more prepared for 2009.
This Friday is our second last meeting (and last formal meeting of the year). We will learn from Lorraine Gordon how to prepare documents that you’re bank manager will love.
