An enthusiastic group of Business Swappers and guests thoroughly enjoyed the meeting last week.
Our incoming President, Linda Ward, presented her own personal vision for Coffs Harbour Business Swap club for the coming year. With Linda’s, business and personal skills and her enthusiasm for everything she does, we are certainly going to be in very good hands. And this teamed with our very strong committee, we will be looking good for Club of the Year 2009!
Steve Hill from Coffs City Skydivers was our guest presenter and he cleverly led a workshop on creating our own personal mission.
After asking us to pose the question “Who am I” to ourselves, he took us through a creative visualisation designed to transport us back to our childhood. Funnily it felt like we were falling out of the sky! However, the landing was soft as we found ourselves in a peaceful green meadow.
It was a most effective way to remember and bring forward the things that meant the most to us then and these formed the basis of our personal mission.
It was gratifying to see that a substantial group of members will be supporting the new Grafton Business Swap Club by attending their inaugural breakfast on Thursday 4th December. A car pool is being arranged and this will make the journey a typically fun Swap event.
It was also great to collect some names for blood donations. These wonderful volunteers will be attending the Blood Bank as a group sometime in the near future when we have been able to organise a roster around mutually suitable times.
This Friday’s monthly seminar is shaping up to be a fantastic event with image consultant, Margaret Sims so be sure to book your seats early!
All the best
